Urban Outfitters Is Creating Its Own 'Lifestyle Center' In Pennsylvania

Good News For People WhoLove Anthropologie

Imagine walking into a place that combines the garden scents of Terrain, the adorable mugs of Anthropologie and some really great food. It sounds like a magical idea doesn't it? Well, we hope so because it's becoming a realty.

URBN, Inc. has announced it is creating a town center of all things lifestyle. According to Main Line Media News, the company is planning on building the development on a 6.5-acre site in Devon, Pennsylvania. “When you see a lifestyle center you often see a Chico’s, a J. Crew, a Cheesecake Factory. That’s not what we’re about,” Dave Ziel, the chief development officer for Urban Outfitters said. “We wanted to take this really unique environment and mix it with the right tenants to create a consistent experience, a place where people will want to come and stay for a while.”

The center is planned to open in 2016 and will have URBN, Inc. stores, restaurants and a boutique hotel.

This isn't the first time we've seen retail mini-cities, IKEA has developed its own as well. We're looking forward to seeing this idea come to life, our wallets however, aren't too excited.
