Comedian Hari Kondabolu hates Christopher Columbus, and for good reason. As an Indian-American, Hari laments Columbus is "the reason I have to tell people that I'm Indian from India." Oh, and let's not forget about the whole "harbinger of genocide" thing, either.

In this 2012 clip from "Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell," Hari offers more than enough reasons to dislike Columbus Day.

"How do you assume a place without silk, spices or elephants is India? You'd have to be an idiot or an egomaniac, and judging by his hat, he was clearly both."

Watch above to hear Hari's proposal for a new holiday that Italian-Americans can celebrate in October: Joe DiMaggio day.
After all, "The only Indians Joe DiMaggio ever slaughtered were from Cleaveland."
