Weatherman Scot Haney Eats Cat Vomit (WATCH)

WATCH: News Anchor Eats Cat Vomit

Gross, disgusting and totally repulsive are words that will no doubt come to mind when you watch a new viral video of a news anchor snacking on gooey, grimy crumbs of cat vomit.

Warning: The video accompanying this article has a high yuck factor. View at your own risk.

The truly cringe-worthy incident was broadcast live Wednesday, by WFSB, a CBS affiliate in Hartford, Conn.

What started out as a typical news report by four reporters, took a turn for the nasty when weatherman Scot Haney scooped up and devoured a handful of cat phlegm off the newsroom floor. In the video, Haney apparently mistakes the feline bile for someone’s discarded Grape Nuts.

"They're a little soggy and they taste like shoes ... I don't think those are Grape Nuts. I think that might be dog doody," Haney says as he munches on the moist and gushy morsels.

Later in the news report, Haney refers to the incident as "trending" and explains the mystery behind the newsroom cat vomit.

"Those were not Grape Nuts that I ate ... My cat threw up and I must have stepped in it," he says. "I ate cat vomit right here on television ... I'm going to throw up ... I'm sick."

It remains unclear what possessed Haney to dine on something he found on the newsroom floor -- and then detail his mistake to the world.
