Kevin Spacey: Why I Was Accused Of Being 'Anti-American' (VIDEO)

WATCH: Why Kevin Spacey Was Accused Of Being 'Anti-American'

Though Kevin Spacey may at times prove himself the antithesis of American values as the slick and conniving Frank Underwood on "House Of Cards," he was accused of just that while out of character at the Emmys this past September.

Sporting the "House Of Cards" logo -- an American flag turned upside down -- Spacey was stopped on the red carpet upon entering the ceremony as onlookers attempted to turn it right side up. Fans took to Twitter... apparently they didn't get the joke. Or, as Spacey notes, "There are two kinds of people in the world: those with a Netflix account and those who think I'm a dirty rotten Communist bastard."

Watch the raw footage above from the "Exploring The Arts Gala" on October 7 to hear Spacey's take on the lofty accusations.
