Linus Norgren, Naked Man, Referenced Sasquatch Before Attacking Hunter With Rock: Police

Naked Hipster Allegedly Namechecks Sasquatch, Attacks Hunter

Because clothed assaults are so last year.

Police in Oregon still aren't sure why Linus Norgren, 20, allegedly attacked a hunter with an apple-sized rock on Thursday morning. According to KPTV, the hunter, who turned out to be the young man's neighbor, said Norgren came out of the woods naked then attacked him after referencing Sasquatch.

The victim managed to call 911, but according to the station, it took police 90 minutes to find him because of the steep, wooded terrain.

Norgren yelled that he came from a long family line of Sasquatches before beating the man and trying to strangle him with a piece of clothing, the victim's daughter told KATU.

She told the station her dad suffered broken fingers, a dislocated shoulder and an eye injury, but is expected to recover.

Washington County Sheriff's deputies said they aren't sure why Norgren allegedly attacked the man, or why he was naked. When deputies arrived at the scene, the victim had drawn his rifle on the suspect in order to keep him away.

Norgren was treated at an area hospital for minor injuries, then booked on charges of second-degree assault, strangulation and menacing. According to police, additional charges could follow as the investigation continues.
