Madonna Got Banned From Texas Theater Chain For Texting During Movie Screening

Tsk tsk, Madonna. Hasn't anyone told you texting during a movie is a big no-no?

Madonna, the queen of all things, apparently didn't get the memo about proper movie theater etiquette and not only did she text during a screening of "12 Years a Slave" last week, she reportedly went off on a woman who dared ask her to stop. According to the Guardian, Madonna snapped at the woman and called her an "enslaver!" So punny.

Following the incident, Tim League, co-founder and CEO of Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain -- a popular theater chain in Texas, took to Twitter to ban Madonna from watching movies at his establishments. This, even though the incident happened in New York's Walter Reade Theater in Lincoln Center, and not at one of his cinemas. League wrote:

When asked by Entertainment Weekly if he was serious about the ban, League, a staunch opponent of texting while watching, replied: "Yeah, I’m serious, but I don’t think it really affects her life that much."

After getting a lot of attention (and criticism) for his tweet, League took to the social media platform to further explain himself. (Warning: some innappropriate language ahead)

A request for comment made to Madonna's rep was not immediately answered.
