Elderly Couple Killed In Car Accident Found Holding Hands

An elderly couple who was killed in a car wreck was found holding hands, CBS Seattle reported.

According to police, Floyd and Margaret Nordhagen were driving along Newport Highway in Washington when they were hit by a pickup truck. When state troopers arrived at the wreck, Mrs. Nordhagen was still clutching her late husband's hand.

"We actually had to ask her to let go of him, so we could get him out of the car," a trooper told KREM. Mrs. Nordhagen also died on the scene.

It's unclear whether they were holding hands before the crash or whether she grabbed it afterwards.

According to KHQ, friends described the couple as madly in love. They had been married for 68 years.
