A special election taking place in New Jersey on Wednesday will decide the Garden State's next senator.

Newark Mayor Cory Booker (D) is facing off against businessman Steve Lonegan (R).

The winner of the race will fill the seat vacated by the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg (D), who died in June 2013.
