UPTOWN — Bulldozers and demolition crews were in Uptown Monday morning readying a vacant lot for the construction of Chicago's first Sonic Drive-In restaurant.
The Oklahoma-based fast food chain broke ground at 1016 W. Wilson Ave. over the weekend, and should be open by January, according to Tressa Feher, chief of staff for Ald. James Cappleman (46th).
