Superman's 75-Year History In 2 Minutes (VIDEO)

You have to respect a guy who can rock a red cape for this long. That doesn't mean, however, you have time to watch his every life-saving moment.

Good thing there's a video condensing the 75-year history of Superman into two minutes.

From the superhero's first appearance on the cover of Action Comics #1 to the recent movie "Man of Steel," with flights through TV and pop art as well, the animated montage travels faster than a speeding bullet.

It's going up up and away on YouTube with more than 1.8 million hits since it was posted Oct. 15.

Superman's earthly birthdate is the day Action Comics #1 hit newsstands, April 18, 1938. Back then a gallon of gas cost around 10 cents and the average house rent was $27 a month.

Time sure flies, especially if you're Superman in a two-minute history.
