The 'Spookiest' Old Homes On The South Florida Market (PHOTOS)

Thanks to undiscriminating destructive storms, an aversion to aging and a singular focus on all things shiny and new, Miami real estate isn't as full of creepy old houses or hair-raising historic hotels as some of us would like.

But we do have our share of haunted spots -- and it turns out that's not something that turns off buyers. If fact, according to Realtor.com's Haunted Housing survey, 62 percent of respondents surveyed are open to purchasing a home with spooky characteristics.

But some funny business is just too much, including actual ghost sightings, moving objects, and levitation:

"Our data reveals that while the majority of consumers are open to purchasing a haunted home, many buyers conduct research on a home’s history to be aware of any weird incidences,” Alison Schwartz, vice president of corporate communications for Move.com, said in a statement. “Additionally, Realtor.com data finds that while some respondents are willing to purchase a haunted home at a discounted price, many say levitating objects, ghost sightings and seeing objects move from one place to another would deter them from purchasing a home.”
