Very Concerned, Very Honest Preschooler Returns Lost Nickel To Library

A honest little girl visiting a public library in Plymouth, Mich., didn't think twice about keeping a nickel she found in a book shelf.

Instead, the preschooler went up to a reference assistant named Heather Pacheco and did the right thing.

Pacheco, who works at the Plymouth District Library, told The Huffington Post in an email that she thanked the 4-year-old for being so honest, and left the change and the note above for her colleagues to see. Fellow reference assistant, Stacy Lorence, then posted a picture of it to Reddit, where it made its way to the front page.

We know the coin's owner probably isn't too worried about the missing five cents, but we think even the smallest acts of kindness make a big difference.
