Anna Wintour may decide what's "in" and what's "out" in the fashion industry, but that doesn't mean she can't take a cue from other trendsetters, especially the gals she puts on Vogue's cover.
While attending the 2013 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Finalists dinner on Wednesday, the editor wore a Proenza Schouler pleated skirt that fell just below the knee. She styled the mixed-print number with a sleeveless top, nude sandals and layered necklaces -- sounds like a signature Wintour look to us.
Perhaps she was inspired to make the skirt her own after seeing Rooney Mara, a two-time Vogue cover model, wear the Proenza garment earlier this month at the 51st New York Film Festival. Of course, Rooney kept things darker and sexier (as she's wont to do) with a black crop top, platform sandals and intense smokey eye makeup.
Two stylish ladies and two very different takes on an ensemble leaves us with one question: Who wore it better?
