Emma Roberts Terrified Of 'American Horror Story,' Even Though She's In It

Emma Roberts may be starring on "American Horror Story: Coven," but that doesn't mean she's immune to its fright factor. She revealed on "The Tonight Show" that while it's not frightening at all during filming -- it's just a regular work day -- when she watches it, she hides under the covers.

"When they add the music and the sound effects, it’s terrifying," Roberts said. Of course, she also admitted that she still checks under her bed ... after about five minutes of mustering up her courage.

She also admitted to being afraid of flying, and snakes -- so no "Snakes on a Plane" sequel for her! That latter fear was put to the test when animal expert Dave Salmoni brought out a giant python. She had a very controlled freakout.

Viewers likely freaked out as well when -- SPOILER ALERT -- Emma's character was killed on the latest episode of "AHS." Fans of the franchise know that this doesn't necessarily mean she'll stay dead. In fact, when speaking to Buzzfeed, Roberts talked about reading upcoming scripts, and why would she do that if she was no longer on the show?

See if Emma Roberts returns to "American Horror Story: Coven" by tuning in on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on FX. "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
