Clearly no one wants to be on Forbes’ “Top Earning Dead Celebrity List.” But for the families of the departed souls, it can be a goldmine. This year, stars like Bob Marley and Elvis Presley raked in millions, along with Tr3s fave Jenni Rivera.

Jenni is very new to the list, having just passed away last December. But in the 10 short months since she’s left us, La Diva de la Banda raked in a cool $7 million.

Forbes attributes her posthumous success to mostly album and book sales. Rivera shipped over 880,000 records in 2013 and topped the libro charts with her Unbreakable biography.

But Jenni pales in comparison to the #1 contender. Michael Jackson continues to be a financial powerhouse, earning over $160 million within the past year.
