Grown-Out Roots? Here's How To Embrace Them

Let's face it: Coloring your hair is not just a choice, it's a lifestyle. But while most of us see our colorists more often than we see our physicians, sometimes we just don't have time to make it into the salon for a touch-up.

Rather than become a slave to your roots, try out one of these easy methods to spruce up your grown-out color.

Pull your hair back. When it's away from your face, you can't quite see the contrast.

Let hats be your best friend. Roots? What roots?

Try a braid close to your hairline. An intricate style can distract the eye.

Get creative with hair accessories. People will be too busy complimenting that headband, scarf or clip to notice your hair color(s).

In a pinch? Just let your roots hang out. Hey, you can always say you're going for the "ombre" look.
