Melissa Joan Hart Talks Miley Cyrus, The Kardashians And More For HuffPost's #nofilter

Melissa Joan Hart Thinks Miley Cyrus Is Overrated

These days, our knowledge of celebrities too often originates with paparazzi images and snarky quotes by anonymous "insiders." After a while, it's easy to forget that stars are real people. That's why HuffPost Celebrity decided to launch its all-new #nofilter quick-fire question-and-answer series. Because how well do you know someone until they've shared their guiltiest pleasures?

Melissa Joan Hart is one of the most beloved child-turned-adult stars, captivating audiences with her hit TV series "Clarissa Explains It All," "Sabrina: The Teenage Witch" and "Melissa & Joey." The 37-year-old mom-of-three appeared on HuffPost Live yesterday (Oct. 30) to discuss her new memoir, "Melissa Explains It All" (in stores now), and gracefully took HuffPost Celebrity's #nofilter challenge.

When's the last time you cried?
Probably yesterday.

What's your guiltiest pleasure?
The Kardashians. I don't watch anything else but that. I need an escape. I'm a news hound so, I have to escape from it in some mindless way. I don't know, I got hooked early. Guilty pleasure, that's allowed!

Is it okay to recline your seat on an airplane?
[It's okay] until it goes all the way back, until it's in the other person's lap. I mean, the person in front of you is going to do it so you have to do it.

When do you feel most anxious?
On an airplane. [Laughs] When a person reclines their seat ... no. I hate take-off. I hate flying in general. I'm terrified of it, but I've gotten over it.

What or who is overrated right now?
[laughs] Well, I think Miley Cyrus is getting way too much attention for one performance piece that was shocking, yes, but I don't think it was that shocking. I think Madonna did [that] 20 years ago. I think Britney Spears did it 10 years ago. So, I don't think it was that shocking, I think it's just a little too much exposure on that one piece.

Is a good friend hard to come by?
Not if you look in the right places.

Describe one time you thought "This is harder than it looks."
"Dancing With The Stars." [Laughs]

Tell us a joke.
I only know dirty jokes ... no, it's really dirty. I only know one joke that as a kid I just didn't understand. "Why does Dr. Pepper come in a bottle? Because his wife died." I don't know.

What sense would you most be afraid to lose?
My sight because I wouldn't want to miss my boys growing up and seeing what they look like as men. And my husband when he ages, no wait, that one I could [do without].
