The 109th edition of the World Series is in the books and it won't be forgotten any time soon, especially in New England. The Boston Red Sox Red Sox outlasted the St. Louis Cardinals in a Fall Classic that included a pair of unprecedented finishes and a historic offensive showing by Series MVP David Ortiz. Mixed in between Big Papi's 11 base hits and 8 walks, were breathtaking defensive gems and mesmerizing pitching performances. There were even a few key hits by other players.
