Starring James Caan and Maggie Lawson, "Back In The Game" centers on a newly-divorced mother who moves back in with her father and starts coaching her son's baseball team. The comedy has brought in about 7 million viewers per episode so far, and although it hasn't been pulled from the schedule, no additional episodes have been ordered.
Things are looking a little better for ABC's other freshman comedies. The network ordered full seasons of "Trophy Wife" and "The Goldbergs," while Rebel Wilson's "Super Fun Night" -- which is averaging about 7.4 million viewers, with 2.4 in the demo -- got four additional episodes.
Although critics haven't exactly been easy on "Super Fun Night," Wilson told HuffPost TV that the best is yet to come.
"I think with any show it just takes time," Wilson said. "Even 'Seinfeld' had such an interesting development. It went through a whole rough period, and then four episodes in they found their feet."
"The Goldbergs" and "Trophy Wife" air on Tuesdays and 9 and 9:30 p.m. ET respectively, while "Back In The Game" and "Super Fun Night" air on Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. ET respectively on ABC.
