Adrian Peterson can certainly be tackled, in theory. In practice, it's not that simple.
With the Minnesota Vikings trailing the Dallas Cowboys 20-17 deep into the fourth quarter on Sunday, Peterson took a handoff and then took several defenders for a ride into the end zone.
Unfortunately for the Vikings, Peterson can't also do the tackling. Tony Romo led the Cowboys on a go-ahead drive in the final minutes as they prevailed 27-23.
