Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke Prove Easy Targets For The 'CMA Awards' (VIDEO)

Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke Easy Targets For 'CMA Awards'

Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley took on hosting duties for the "47th Annual CMA Awards" for the sixth time, and it was easy to see why they keep getting invited back. They have an ease on stage, and with their prowess in the industry, they can get away with teasing their fellow country artists.

That's not to say they didn't have some biting comments along the way. Paisley gave a shout-out to Taylor Swift that was clearly directed at another artist. "Taylor, you have grown up right before our very eyes, and I want to thank you from a grateful industry for never once humping a teddy bear or gyrating with Beetlejuice," he said. "I know that’s not easy.”

Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke were clearly on the minds of the "Duck Dynasty" guys when they made a surprise appearance during the opening monologue. They came out to a retooled version of Thicke's hit, "Blurred Lines" called "Duck Lines." But we're pretty sure Underwood wasn't expecting the guys to start twerking on her.

Over at The Boot, Hannahlee Allers thought the hosts were a total hit, saying they hit a home run with their monologue. Emily Longoretta of Hollywood Life agreed, even if they did take one too many easy shots at Robin Thicke and Miley Cyrus. That was so many months ago now!
