Bride's Text From Future Mother-In-Law Will Warm Your Heart

Texts Between Bride And Her Future MIL Show Us What Family Is All About

It's hard to believe, we know, but not all in-laws are a giant pain in the you-know-what.

In fact, many of them are thoughtful, warm and loving people who want nothing more than for you -- their future son- or daughter-in-law -- to feel like part of the family.

Case in point? On Friday, Redditor rockspeak posted a text conversation she had with her future MIL and it's the sweetest.

Just thought I would let you know that even though you're not my "blood" daughter, I had a lot of pride when I saw you in your wedding dress! Made me tear up a bit. For the first time ever I kinda knew what it was like to have a real daughter. I also know and appreciate the fact that most MIL-to-be aren't allowed half the involvement you've allowed me, and I am very appreciative that you ask my opinion and understand that this is YOUR day, but I enjoy just being in the loop. It's fun. I hope you're enjoying this time.

Okay, so we can all agree that this woman is officially the best. Read the Redditor's equally sweet response below:

Aw, B, you're the best. I tear up every time I think of [FFIL] walking me down the aisle, and the wonderful family I'm marrying in to. I'm so happy you're not a typical FMIL. Not only are we friends and already family, but I appreciate that you want to be involved, but don't want to bowl us over with demands. You truly are the best!

The Redditor also mentioned in the post that her parents "aren't around" anymore so she asked her future father-in-law to walk her down the aisle. When she asked him, he teared up and gave her a big bear hug as he said, "yes."

"They're such a great family, and have been my role models for the kind of marriage I want to have with my SO, and the kind of parents we want to be when we have kids," rockspeak wrote. "I'm very lucky that such an awesome family wants to take me in!"
