We're not sure how we missed these nudist-inspired chairs from Italian design firm Casamania when they debuted back in 2008, but it was clearly an oversight for the ages.
The "Him & Her" chairs, crafted by Fabio Novembre and modeled after the iconic Panton Chair, are made of polyethylene and look identical from the front. The backsides (pun intended) are distinctly masculine and feminine, however.
Conceptualizing masculinity and femininity in a chair isn't the easiest feat, as rapper Pharell showed us with his failed attempt called the "Perspective Chair" in 2008.
According to Casamania, their reimagined (and arguably more graceful) design "assume sculpted forms like naked models of seduction ... but they feel no shame," which totally explains all of the references to Adam and Eve over on Novembre's site.
Take a look at more shots of the chairs below and tell us: Yay or nay on kicking back in one of these?
