Harlem Globetrotters' Backboard-Shattering Dunk Turns To Scary Accident (VIDEO)

That Wasn't Supposed To Happen

Everyone knows the Harlem Globetrotters will pull some insane moves on the court, but no one expects the stunts to go wrong.

This shattering moment took place in Honduras during the team's current tour of South America when Bull Bullard attempted a two-handed, alley-oop dunk. But as Bullard hung onto the rim, the entire basket crashed down and the backboard shattered. Luckily, Bullard didn't land next to the hoop and walked away from the accident.

"When I dunk, I put my feet on the backboard, put the ball through my legs and dunk it again, so that's the motion I was going with," Bullard told the New York Daily News. "By the time I realized that the rim was coming down, it was too late, and it crashed down on me."

Watch Bull rile the crowd up for applause as he makes his way off the court.

He will continue to play, and plans to return to the United States with the Globetrotters for their December 26th North American tour.
