Straight, Married Man Discusses His Life As A Cross-Dresser On HuffPost Live

WATCH: How This Straight Man's Wife Reacts When He Cross-Dresses

William, a straight male cross-dresser, spoke at length about how his wife of four years feels when he dresses up as a woman in a candid interview with HuffPost Live this week.

"From the time I get off work on Friday, I become a woman and I dress as a woman for the entire weekend and I live my life as a woman for the entire weekend," William, a mechanic who goes by "Megan Smith" when he cross-dresses, said. "[My wife and I] have been married now for four years...she loves it when I dress up."

Although he's still frequently mistaken for being gay, William says his wife's support has been critical: "With her help and her support ... I've been able to open up, I've started to go out into public dressed up and started to live my life more in the open."

He went on to note, "When I dress up, I try to keep it as classy as possible. If you're gonna dress like a lady, you need to act like a lady. I keep all my outfits respectful."
