Gay Children Headed Down 'A Road Of Destruction And Death,' Bryan Fischer Claims

The American Family Association's Bryan Fischer followed in the footsteps of fellow conservative Pat Robertson in offering "advice" to the parents of gay children this week.

Fischer, whose opposition to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights is well-known, told listeners on his "Focal Point" that he would not "toss" one of his children out of his life if they came out of the closet as gay, Right Wing Watch first reported.

Of course, whether or not his words can be interpreted as an endorsement is questionable. If one of his children came out as gay, Fischer would "would love them unconditionally; I would appeal to them to make different choices with their sexuality."

He added, "I would appeal to them not to go down that road because it’s a road of destruction and death but I would love them unconditionally.”
