Was he in search of National Treasure?
According to TMZ, handyman Ricardo Orozco allegedly stole four computers and box of intimate photos from the house of Nicolas Cage's ex, Christina Fulton, back in April. The photos are reportedly of the actor "getting down and dirty" with Fulton, who is the mother of Cage's son, Weston.
TMZ cites unnamed law enforcement sources that said police haven't yet found the photos and are actively looking for them. Orozco was arrested and charged with felony burglary last month, and was held on $1 million bail.
Update: Nov. 14, 8:15 a.m. -- In a statement obtained by The Huffington Post, Nicolas Cage denied the existence of the photos.
"Explicit photos of myself and Ms. Fulton simply do not exist and never have," Cage said.
TMZ updated its report after Cage went on record, noting that "because the ex-couple has been through so much litigation over the years, nude photos would definitely have come to light."
However, another unnamed source told Gossip Cop, a website that debunks celebrity rumors, that Cage “knows nothing about this,” and “no such photos exist with him in them.”
The Reddit sub-forum /r/onetruegod, which is devoted to Cage memes and news, framed the report with the headline, "Our prayers have been answered brothers and sisters!!"
Reactions from commenters were less than enthusiastic.
"I don't know if I can handle looking directly at his purest form," wrote one user.
Cage and Fulton started dating in 1988, but broke up shortly after she gave birth to their son, Weston, in 1990.
