Anderson Cooper hit out at Alec Baldwin over the actor and MSNBC host's latest anti-gay controversy.
Baldwin got into hot water for his altercation with a photographer. Most observers thought he had called the man a "c--ksucking f-g." Baldwin insisted he had said "fathead," but apologized for the first term, which he claimed not to have known was offensive to gay people.
MSNBC has been under pressure to distance itself from Baldwin's comments — pressure that Cooper's comments seemed likely to add to.
Cooper did not mince his words, calling Baldwin a liar repeatedly:
Wow, Alec Baldwin shows his true colors yet again. How is he going to lie and excuse his anti-gay slurs this time?
.@trac5133 I never suggested he had to apologize. He can say whatever he wants, but then why repeatedly lie about it afterwards?
Just read Alec Baldwin's latest excuses. They are actually so ridiculous they are funny
