'Reign': Mary's Discomfort Sends Her Into Bash's Arms

Fresh off a full-season pick-up, "Reign" is clearly having fun with the fictional love triangle between Mary, Francis and Francis' brother, Bash. The triangle is fictional in this historical drama because Bash never actually existed. His non-existence didn't stop Mary from running to him after Francis' ex, Olivia, moved into the castle and made things awkward.

She went to Bash under the pretense of seeking comfort, but then she went in for a kiss. That's certainly comforting, right? At least Bash was amenable. Mary stopped and apologized, "I'm sorry, I really shouldn't have done that," she said.

“You’re right. I should’ve," Bash said. When they kissed, Francis was seen looking on. So many people secretly seeing so many things on this show! The stolen kiss left Buddy TV's Morgan Glennon asking which brother Mary would choose. While "Reign" is running pretty loose with its history, it seems unlikely it would pair Mary up permanently with a fictional addition. He's just there for drama ... and steamy kisses!

Torrance Coombs, who plays Bash, gave E! Online a teaser about the future. "Francis doesn't let on right away that he's seen that, so he allows them to kind tip-toe around it for a little while and watches us try and cover it up," he said. "Then he allows his emotions to get the better of him and he sends me off an a dangerous mission, let's say. As a result, nothing is ever really the same between us again because we realize the emotions we're all tangled up in are putting us in danger."

The historical hotness continues on "Reign," Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
