Shirts-Tied-Around-The-Waist Are Coming Back, And We Couldn't Be Happier

Shirts-Tied-Around-The-Waist Are Back And We Couldn't Be Happier

It's been creeping back into our lives, little by little, but we're ready to make it official: Shirts-tied-around-the-waist, the signature look of the '90s, are acceptable again.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been the biggest advocates of the endearingly schlubby-yet-convenient style, with Kim appearing in her first post-baby photos with baby North with a plaid shirt tied around the waist of her oversized denim shirt. (Might as well go big or go home, Kim.)

But this weekend, shirts-tied-around-the-waist got an even more stylish seal of approval from none other than Miranda Kerr, who was spotted carrying her adorable son in New York City with a denim shirt flapping over her hips.

And on the other side of the country, Julianne Hough had the same idea. On Friday, the actress grabbed lunch with a flannel tied atop her distressed boyfriend jeans. And Miranda's not the only model embracing the trend: Behati Prinsloo, aka the future Mrs. Adam Levine, Insta'd herself just a couple of months back with denim 'round her waist.

And if these women all say it's fine... then we're ready to take those oversized flannels and chambray shirts and put them back around our hips where they belong. This is the best '90s trend to make its way back since Cressida Bonas started wearing scrunchies.
