It's the Bill Gates of burgers: South Beach restaurant Bâoli says their new patty is the most expensive in Miami, and we can't think of any others that top its $65 price tag.
What do you get with all that dough? The "Bâoli Burger" is a patty of kobe beef topped with heirloom tomatoes, foie gras, black truffle slices, and other toppings on warm brioche bread and served with truffle fries.
Still, the Baoli Burger has a long way to go on the national scene -- not that we're suggesting a price increase, mind you. New York City's Serendipity 3 offers the gargantuan Le Burger Extravagant for $295, once billed as the most expensive on earth. The sandwich comes with Japanese Waygu beef, herbed white truffle butter, smoked Pacific sea salt, aged cheddar, shaved black truffles, a quail egg, creme fraiche, and exclusive Kaluga caviar on a white truffle-buttered roll, held together by a gold toothpick encrusted with diamonds.
But Serendipity's time in the Guiness Book of World Records didn't last long, with a $666 burger offered by a food truck smashing the cash ceiling a few months later. Naturally, Vegas then got in on the act with a hamburger listed at $5,000.
Where will it end!?!?!?! Hopefully in our mouths, and on someone else's tab.
