NBA Team Pays $20,000 To 4th Fan This Year Who Made Stunning Half-Court Shot

Now that's a money shot!

Lightning struck a fourth time in Oklahoma this week after yet another very lucky Oklahoma City Thunder fan hit a half-court shot during an OKC game, winning $20,000.

Cameron Rodriguez sank the very valuable bucket during his halftime attempt in the midst of the Thunder's 115-113 win over the Denver Nuggets on Monday.

In a backwards cap and Thunder jersey, Rodriguez made the lucrative feat look like a walk in the park. Rodriguez now joins the three other fans who have made their half-court attempts at Chesapeake Energy Arena since Mar. 5, a surprisingly impressive track record.

The three previous winners include Heath Kufal, who used his March 6 winnings to help pay for his wife's cancer treatments; Justin Dougherty who hit his shot on March 24 and was subsequently tackled by Thunder star Kevin Durant; and Larry Hill, who sank his shot in April during a Thunder playoff game, reports USA Today.

Sports Illustrated writer Ben Golliver notes that at this rate, OKC half-court shooters have a better success rate (19 percent) then several NBA players do from behind the three-point arc over the same time period.
