Mary Cheney Is An 'Intolerant Lesbian Bigot,' According To One Pundit

The American Family Association 's Bryan Fischer sounded off on the Cheney family's headline-making same-sex marriage debate in a new installment of his "Focal Point" radio show.

Fischer, whose anti-gay declarations have essentially become a trademark, slammed Mary Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, as an "intolerant bigot" of her older sister Liz, Right Wing Watch first reported.

Fischer asked his audience, "Who's the one who's been intolerant here? Who's the one who's being a bigot?"

He then noted, "It's not the Christian, it's not the heterosexual ... it is the intolerant lesbian bigot that's doing that ... It is Liz Cheney's sister who is, in fact, the intolerant bigot."

Mary Cheney, who is openly gay and married to her longtime partner, has said her sister Liz is "dead wrong on the issue of marriage."

Her comments, made in a Facebook post, were in response to a statement made by Liz Cheney, in which the Wyoming U.S Senate candidate came out against same-sex marriage.

"I am strongly pro-life and I am not pro-gay marriage," she said at the time. “I believe the issue of marriage must be decided by the states, and by the people in the states, not by judges and not even by legislators, but by the people themselves."
