Fergie, Ferg is back!
The Black Eyed Peas singer and new mom stopped by HuffPost Live yesterday (Nov. 20) to talk about her partnership with Project Sunlight and her life after welcoming son, Axl Jack, with husband Josh Duhamel. But instead of sugar-coating motherhood, Fergie revealed that the best part about parenthood is the unexpected moments.
"Baby Axl is amazing. He's the light of my life," Fergie, 38, told HuffPost Live host Nancy Redd, revealing that the greatest thing her baby boy has done so far is, well, poop on Duhamel.
"My husband, he got, sharted on, I guess you could say," she laughed. "And I watched it happen and it was pretty amazing."
Fergie is starting to settle into her new lifestyle and admitted she's "back working out and all that." (She looks amazing, might we add.) Still, she's struggling a bit to give up her normal day-to-day routine.
"I'm a scheduler, I'm a planner, so I would schedule the time to spend with him for learning time," she explained. "What I didn't realize is his feeding times change every day. So I just really have to live more spontaneously and just, kind of, when he's ready to learn and be fed and he's ready to react and respond to me -- he's first priority -- and my emails will have to wait."
As for whether or not she's protective of her child, Fergie said "of course."
"The mommy bear kicks in. Gosh, he's just only three months old and I can't even imagine what more is to come," she gushed. "My son is finally smiling at me, so, I mean, it makes my day."
So, will Fergie and Duhamel welcome another baby sometime soon?
"I don't know if you're ever ready for a child, but we definitely want to have another," she said. "It's not happening right this second, but in the future yes, for sure."
