Longtime baseball writer Peter Gammons compared Alex Rodriguez to the Boston Marathon bombers on Mike Lupica's ESPN New York radio show on Thursday.
"I wonder now though... and I've had people with the Yankees say this to me. He wants to blow up the world. You know, he's like the marathon bombers," Gammons said of A-Rod while discussing the ongoing saga involving Major League Baseball and the slugger's 211-game suspension.
Gammons apologized for making the comparison on Twitter.
