'The Curious Cook,' LGBT Web Series, Celebrates Pride And Food

WATCH: Cooking Gets Queer In New Web Series

" The Curious Cook " is an award-winning lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) web series that aims to help viewers learn new recipes and meet intriguing individuals within the queer community.

Hosted by actress, singer/songwriter, and Lady Gaga impersonator Athena Reich and celebrity chef Jase Grimm, the series seeks to celebrate the queer community and showcase some of its fascinating leaders who love to chat and cook as much as anyone else.

"I hope young queers who are just coming out see that there's more to being gay than the club scene," Reich told The Huffington Post. "I hope they see that you can be gay and lead a healthy, socially engaged lifestyle. I hope the parents of gay youth watch our show and see that being gay is not a social death sentence, but rather an honor to partake in a community of visionaries and pioneers. I hope adult queers starting their families find inspiration and validation in the domestic arts. I hope that straight people become more informed about queer issues by watching the interview portions."

Created and produced through the efforts of Samantha Goettlich and Penny Lane Pictures, "The Curious Cook" puts out a new episode of the series every Wednesday. Check out the show's website for more information and check out an episode from the series above.
