Jack Wilshire Gave Arsenal A 1-0 Lead Over Marseille After Just 29 Seconds With This Terrific Goal

Arsenal Needed Just 29 Seconds For This Goal

That didn't take very long.

Jack Wilshire staked Arsenal to a 1-0 lead over Marseille in their Champions League clash on Tuesday night in North London after just 29 seconds of play. Perhaps most surprisingly, the 29 seconds leading up to the score included both a Marseille attacking push from the kickoff and a successful Arsenal counterattack capped by Wilshire's powerful left-footed strike past goalkeeper Steve Mandanda.

Wilshire would double the Gunners' lead in the second half with his second goal of the match.

Thanks to Wilshire's brace and a clean sheet from goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, Arsenal are on the verge of clinching a spot in the knockout stages of the Champions League
