Teens Create Exact Replica Of Elaborate 'Hobbit' Location Using 80,000 LEGOs

Teens' Epic 'Hobbit' Tribute Using 80,000 LEGOs

You might remember Blake Baer and Jack Bittner's amazing LEGO re-creation of Rivendell from "The Lord Of The Rings" movie last year. Now that "The Hobbit" has been released, the two teens -- now 17 and 18 years old -- have taken on Erebor, the iconic home of the dwarves in J.R.R. Tolkien's children's novel, a prequel to the LOTR series.

The creation uses close to 80,000 pieces, totaling almost 200 pounds, and the peak of the mountain is 56" tall. Baer and Bittner invested over 400 hours into the project.

Scroll through the incredibly impressive photos, below, and head over to Blake's Flickr page for more.
