Alabama Fan Leaves Zero Tip For Waiter For 'Being Proud Of Auburn' (PHOTO) (UPDATE)

LOOK: Alabama Fan Refuses To Tip Waiter For 'Being Proud Of Auburn'

A last-second touchdown return of a missed field goal to beat hated rival Alabama is bound to produce some Auburn pride. Some gloating even.

But is that any reason for a 'Bama fan not to tip a waiter who professes allegiance to Auburn? Apparently so, at least according to one tweet that's gaining yardage on the Internet.

One diner seems to have taken umbrage at the server's loyalties after the game, writing, "don't talk about being proud of Auburn to an Alabama Fan! There's your tip." Scrawled on the line are the words, "Roll Tide!"

We'd like to think some cash was left on the table, but even if the Auburn no-tip receipt turns out to be hoax, it still scores points for rivalry-stoking.

UPDATE: Forrest Swan, a 22-year-old student at East Tennessee State University, identified himself as the waiter who got stiffed. In a phone call with The Huffington Post, Swan said he wasn't even that big a fan of Auburn (he likes Virginia Tech) and was merely expressing admiration for Auburn's victory. Swan said he works at a "wing joint" in Kingsport, Tenn., but the restaurant, which he asked us not to identify, told HuffPost it could not confirm the incident or his employment there.
