It's finally time for Mellie to have some fun.
"Scandal" has cast Jon Tenney -- who played Fritz on TNT's "The Closer" -- to play Andrew, Mellie's potential new love interest, TVLine has learned. The specifics about his role are still a little murky, but his character is described as "handsome and charismatic."
You may recognize Tenney from his roles on "The Newsroom," "The Closer" spinoff, "Major Crimes," or his most recent gig on TNT's drama, "King and Maxwell."
"Scandal" will air its midseason finale next week before going on winter hiatus. The recently shortened Season 3 will return on Feb. 27 with the final eight episodes.
What do you think of the casting? Are you excited to meet Mellie's potential new man?
