'The Sing-Off' Premiere: Three Weeks, Seven Episodes, One Winner - Could It Be The acoUstiKats? (VIDEO)

A Cappella 'Blurred Lines' In Impressive 'Sing-Off' Debut

After cancelling "The Sing-Off" two years ago, NBC is reviving the series and giving it back its original holiday schedule. No longer expected to carry an entire half-season, "The Sing-Off" is back to offering a quick a cappella holiday alternative of light competition, and beautiful harmonies over a few short weeks.

Entertainment Weekly's Jodi Walker wasn't surprised the show was revived for this fourth season. "After the huge success of a-cappella-pixie-dream-film ‘Pitch Perfect’ (for which ‘The Sing-Off’ producer Deke Sharon arranged the music), and an estimated 40 bajillion YouTube views for season 3 winner Pentatonix, bringing back this cult favorite was a no-brainer," she wrote.

In the premiere, the acoUstiKats absolutely stole the show with their take on Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines." New judge Jewel said that the performance made her giggle ... yes, giggle! "I don’t think I’ve giggled that much in years," she said. "I need an acousti-shower after that, I think!” Buddy TV's Esther Gim was impressed, already saying that the acoUstiKats could become the first college group to win the competition.

"The Sing-Off" Season 4 airs on the following schedule:
Mon. 12/9 - 8 p.m. EST - season premiere
Wed. 12/11 - 8 p.m. EST
Thu. 12/12 - 8 p.m. EST
Mon. 12/16 - 10 p.m. EST - special time (after "The Voice")
Wed. 12/18 - 8 p.m. EST
Thu. 12/19 - 8 p.m. EST
Mon. 12/23 - 8 p.m. EST - season finale
