Chilling Footage Of Asiana Airlines San Francisco Crash Released (VIDEO)

Posted: Updated:

The National Transportation Safety Board has released video from the Asiana Airlines crash at San Francisco International Airport in July. In the footage released Wednesday, the Boeing 777 can be seen tumbling down the runway before flipping up into the air in a cloud of smoke.

The video's release coincides with the NTSB's day-long investigative hearing on the crash, which revealed that pilots may have approached the runway too slowly, improperly lined up the plane and failed to effectively announce that the plane was descending too steeply.

The crash resulted in three fatalities and more than 200 injuries.
