Ian McKellen And Patrick Stewart Visit The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree

Hollywood's Favorite Sirs Visit NYC's Most Famous Tree

Nothing says it's the holiday season quite like Rockefeller Center's dazzling Christmas Tree. Once the lights go on, the tree becomes a focal point of tourist photos, television specials and very important selfies.

Best friends Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart made a trip to see the seasonal Big Apple icon yesterday afternoon (Dec. 11) and immortalized the outing in a Twitter selfie.

The two are together in NYC for their latest acting gig. McKellen and Stewart are currently performing together in "Two Plays in Rep," a theatrical double whammy of "No Man's Land" and "Waiting for Godot," located at the Cort Theater, just a block away from Rockefeller Center. Stewart added the hashtag #gogodididonyc in reference to Gogo and Didi, the characters the two play in "Waiting for Godot," and who they are dressed to resemble with their matching outfits.
