Brian Griffin Returns From The Dead

Brian Griffin Returns From The Dead

It's a Christmas miracle!

Last night (Dec. 15), "Family Guy" resurrected TV's favorite talking pet, Brian Griffin, to the relief of fans everywhere. The pooch was killed off several weeks ago, leading to major unrest among avid viewers of the Fox show. Entertainment Weekly previously reported that Fox would not confirm whether or not Brian was gone for good, and fans took to speculating when the description for the Christmas special episode was released, saying, "Stewie devises a master plan to get the one and only thing he wants for Christmas." All it took was a trip to visit Santa and a time machine to bring the pup back to life.

Once the credits rolled for East Coast viewers, show creator Seth MacFarlane took to Twitter to give his two cents on the situation and suggest that the stunt was all part of a lesson in appreciating our loved ones.

Several sources claim that Brian's death was intended to be permanent, and that the "Family Guy" team reversed the decision due to fans' negative reactions, but according to MacFarlane, that was never the plan.

See the moment Stewie saves Brian's life and rejoice in the reuniting of the Griffin family.
