Stephen Colbert Presents Fox News' '12 Big Scams Of Christmas'

Stephen Colbert: Fox News Brought Down Christmas

With the holidays all around us, it seems like nothing and no one could dampen the spirit of the season.

But Stephen Colbert said Thursday that there is someone not too thrilled about all this Christmas cheer: Fox News.

"I love Christmas, it's such a joyful season," he began. "And that joy is hard on Fox News because their job is to make us scared and angry."

Which is why the network presented the "12 Big Scams of Christmas" this week, Colbert said, which he ensured would "give you the gift of anxiety."

Among the top items on Fox News' contributor Peter Johnson Jr.'s list were "bogus charities," money wiring scams and fake online love affairs.

The list was pretty long, however, so Colbert provided a short recap for us.

"Let's review: Your stranded loved-ones, they're all liars-- f*ck 'em," he said. "If you buy a dog online, it will have fleas, which are incurable so you'll have to put it down in front of the kids. Merry Christmas!"
