British Crooks Steal Up To 60,000 Bees In Hive Caper

THOUSANDS OF BEES STOLEN

British police are looking for a pair of crooks with sticky fingers who made off with a hive full of sleeping bees.

The hive, which was taken from a community garden in Norwich between Dec. 13 and 22, contained an estimated 20,000 to 60,000 bees that were hibernating for the winter.

A Norfolk Police spokesman told the Telegraph that "it would have taken two people to move the structure."

"Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning the whereabouts of the stolen hive."
