Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin (R) made a bet with Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon (D) over who would win the 2014 Cotton Bowl.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys will face off against the Missouri Tigers in the bowl, taking place Jan. 3 in Arlington, Texas.
The AP reports the two governors, both alums of their respective state schools, made a bet that will benefit a food pantry in the state whose team wins the game. KOKH-TV reports Nixon will donate a sliced ham and a smoked turkey to the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma if Missouri loses, and Fallin will provide the Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri with 50 pounds of products donated by the Made in Oklahoma Coalition if her team is defeated.
Fallin seemed confident her team would pull through.
"I look forward to the delivery of these goods when the Cowboys win!" she said, according to KOKH-TV.
These two governors weren't the only ones making a wager on a college bowl game.
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley (R) and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) wagered brats and barbecue on the Capitol One Bowl. After South Carolina won that game, Haley said she was "looking forward to the beer, brats, and cheese."
The Cotton Bowl will be shown on Fox at 7:30 p.m. ET Friday.
