Daft Punk Will Perform At The Grammys With Stevie Wonder

Daft Punk Will Perform At The Grammys

According to Rolling Stone, Daft Punk will perform at the 2014 Grammy Awards. The event will mark the first time the robots -- French DJs Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter -- have performed in a live capacity to support the 2013 album, "Random Access Memories." At the Grammys, Daft Punk will be joined by Nile Rodgers and Stevie Wonder.

This isn't the first time Daft Punk was expected to perform during an awards show. Back in August of 2013, the duo were apparently booked to appear on "The Colbert Report," but host Stephen Colbert told his audience that Daft Punk canceled at the last minute. According to Colbert, the appearance conflicted with a surprise performance Daft Punk had planned for the MTV Video Music Awards later that month. (Comedy Central, which airs Colbert's show, and MTV are owned by Viacom.) In a twist, however, Daft Punk didn't even perform at the VMAs; instead, they handed out an award alongside Rodgers and Pharrell Williams.

In fact, Daft Punk's last live performance came during the 2008 Grammy Awards, when they appeared with Kanye West in support of the rapper's hit song, "Stronger":

Daft Punk is nominated for five Grammy awards, including Album of the Year. The Grammys air on CBS on Jan. 26. Head to Rolling Stone for more.
