Courteney Cox Reveals Sex of David Arquette's Baby, Shares Her Reaction To The News

Oops! Courteney Cox let some big baby news slip on Tuesday's episode of "Ellen," revealing the sex of ex David Arquette's impending arrival with girlfriend Christina McLarty.

"They're going to have a baby boy," Cox, 49, said during her appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." "I hope I'm allowed to say that."

"Well, now you've said it," DeGeneres quipped, before getting the details on how Cox and Arquette's 9-year-old daughter, Coco, feels about her soon-to-be big sister status.

"She's really excited. At first she was nervous because, you know, it's a big deal. At first, I was nervous, I was like woo, heavy," Cox admitted. "Now it’s great and we actually all had dinner the other night. The whole family. It’s a very unique relationship. All of us like literally, me and Christina and David and Coco. It’s great, though."

Cox made no mention of her rumored boyfriend, Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid, 37, but did let on that Coco's a little less excited about any big changes in mom's social life: “It’s almost like she’s a little bit of a tick -- she is on me! She doesn’t want [any] changes in my life,” Cox said.

Cox and Arquette have famously remained close since they split back in Oct 2010 after 11 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in May 2013. Arquette, 42, has been dating McLarty, an Entertainment Tonight correspondent, on-and-off for over two years. Sources confirmed to People in November 2013 that the couple are expecting a child.
