Jose Vasquez, Times Square 'Toy Story' Impersonator, Arrested On Sex Charges

Another Times Square Character Arrested For Doing Something Horrible

A man dressed as Woody from "Toy Story" was arrested in Times Square on sexual assault charges Thursday.

The New York Post reports Jose Vasquez, 44, is being accused of forcible touching and abuse against "numerous girls."

Vasquez's arrest is the latest in a string of run-ins with the law for the city's costumed characters.

Perhaps the most notorious of them all is Dan Sandler, who dressed as Elmo and repeatedly harassed tourists with racist, anti-semitic rants. Sandler was recently arrested for attempting to extort $2 million from the Girl Scouts.

Then there's Osvaldo Quiroz-Lopez, the Times Square Cookie Monster accused of pushing a toddler after the boy's mother refused to tip him for a photo-op.

Most recently, Batman found himself in a verbal fighting match with a man accusing him of cursing in front of children. Luckily for Batman, he had two level-headed Spidermen at his side to help calm him down.
